This chocolate is of excellent quality and contains no paraffin wax. Merckens Milk Chocolate Melting Wafers are available in approximately 1.00 lb and 3 lb packages. To melt the candy wafers, use a microwave-safe bowl and heat them on 30% power in 5-minute intervals. Be sure to stir the wafers between each interval, as this chocolate burns easily. If you are melting a large quantity of chocolate wafers, it's best to use a crock pot set on low and stir the mixture every 20 minutes. This chocolate is quite popular and can also be used for dipping.
